Alumni Reunion Days – June 3 & 4, 2010

Members of the Class of 1960 (50th reunion) and all Michigan State Spartans (classes of 1959 and earlier) are invited to return to campus for Alumni Reunion Days, sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association. Come back, have fun, see the new sites of campus through tours, lectures, college events, receptions and more. The beginning of summer is the perfect time to get together to relive old memories, see classmates and walk along the Red Cedar. Members of the class of 1960 will also be inducted into the Kedzie Society at the annual Kedzie Luncheon Friday, June 4th. Please pass the word on to fellow classmates who may be interested in attending.

MSU Memory Book

A booklet of MSU memories will be distributed to your classmates during the Alumni 50 Year Reunion.  If you would like your memories included in the 2010 Memory Book you can submit your memories online by clicking here, send by e-mail to duchenem@msu.edu or you can also mail a typed copy to:  Michigan State Memories, MSU Alumni Association, 242 Spartan Way, East Lansing, MI 48824-2005, Attention:  Michelle Burnett.  The deadline to submit memories is Friday, May 14, 2010.  Entries received after the deadline will not be included in the memory book but will be forwarded to MSU Archives.  If you cannot attend the reunion, you can still submit your entry and we will send you a copy after the event.  Text is subject to editing.

Use the following list of questions for ideas on what to share with your Michigan State classmates:

 

  1. What year did you graduate and what Michigan State traditions do you remember most?
  2. What Michigan State clubs, fraternities/sororities, sports, band, etc. were you a part of?
  3. What Michigan State event that you participated in is most memorable to you?
  4. What was your favorite social activity?
  5. What was your favorite musical group/song?
  6. Did you wear any special clothing or jewelry for specific occasions?  What were the fashions?
  7. Where did you live? How was it decorated?
  8. What was a typical day like? What was a football Saturday like?
  9. Where did you enjoy “hanging out”?
  10. What national and international events do you remember most?
  11. What campus locations/landmarks were especially meaningful to you?  Why?
  12. Notes of professional interest.
