Elected officials must be incumbents of the positions listed below. If the position is not listed, you are not eligible to participate.
Parade order of the incumbent elected officials is as follows. The number listed to the right is the approximate order the dignitary will be in the parade.

Elected officials must follow the following rules:
As an elected official, you have been invited to participate in the MSU Homecoming Parade. You may NOT send a representative in your place.
You must provide your own car and driver and signage for your car.
Please report to the Hannah Community Center by 5:00 p.m. Enter the Hannah Community Center parking lot via the Fern Street entrance off Abbott Road. Someone will greet you as you enter and assign you your spot in the staging area. Please park in that spot as soon as you arrive.
A VIP reception will be held inside the Hannah Community Center in your honor at 5:00 p.m. Please register inside at this reception for the parade. You must attend the VIP reception to be officially registered.
A blow horn will be sounded at 6:00 p.m. sharp so it is important that everyone is in their car and ready to GO at 6:00 p.m.
Elected official must remain in their car during the entire length of parade.
NO campaigning is allowed; including no campaign literature.
You must attend the MANDATORY parade meeting on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at the MSU Union, Gold Room (second floor). You may send a representative in your place but they MUST personally review the rules with you. IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND THE MANDATORY MEETING, YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE.
Once you have been assigned a spot in the parade, it CANNOT be changed. There can be NO exceptions to this rule.
