A sold out crowd of 1,000 people attended the MSUAA Green and White Brunch which was held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. Dave Akerly, anchorperson from News 6, was master of ceremonies for this event. Opening remarks were made by MSU Football Coach John L. Smith. MSU President Lou Anna Simon stopped by to welcome the crowd and engaged in repartee with special guest Kermit the Frog, who served as Grand Marshal of the Homecoming Parade. More entertainment was provided by the MSU Marching Band, the MSU Dance Team and the Dischords, an a cappella group from MSU's Glee Club. Members of the 2006 MSU Homecoming Court were introduced as were past MSU Presidents Cecil Mackey and Gordon Guyer. It was a great way to begin Homecoming Saturday!
