NEW! We have recently launched MySpartanCareer for Michigan State University Alumni Association members. This one-stop career center management solution allows you to access local, regional and national job postings geared toward MSU students and alumni, keep your resume updated and current, stay up-to-date on MSU career fairs and get information about employers. You can also create a search agent and find out fast when jobs that meet your criteria are posted. It’s the same system utilized by current MSU students. If you are an MSUAA member, just log into the site from the home page. Return to the Careers page and follow the simple instructions. You’ll have an active account in no time. For soon-to-be MSUAA members, follow the Join Today link on the left and enjoy this and all of the other benefits MSUAA has to offer. The existing job and resume posting tool that MSUAA employs will be active until April 25 to allow time for employers to post jobs on MySpartanCareer (employers – please see below for details). Posting Jobs At MySpartanCareer
Posting jobs for alumni at MySpartanCareer is just this easy:
1. Go to myspartancareer.com
2. Click on Employer Log-in
3. Click on “Register and Post a Local Job”
4. Complete the profile. (Make sure you fill out the profile completely) and continue to post your MySpartanCareer job posting for release to current students, recent alumni (less then one year) or MSUAA members (alumni more than one year).
Once you’re done you will receive an e-mail that will verify your user name and password and provide instructions on posting future positions. Once you have registered in the system all you have to do is log-in to enter future postings or access your account information. Selecting “alumni more than one year out” connects you to MSUAA members – this is the only way to reach alumni through this system who have graduated from MSU more than a year ago.

For MSU alumni/job seekers to utilize these services, membership and registration are required. Alumni Career Services links experienced MSU alumni and friends with top-notch employers that are seeking outstanding job applicants. See Job Campaigning Toolkit. A full range of services is offered to insure that alumni and employers/ recruiters are successful in their efforts. MSU alumni utilizing these services have demonstrated their on-the-job competencies in technology, teamwork, problem solving, time management, and interpersonal skills. In addition, these potential employees bring the prestige and value of an outstanding MSU education to the workplace.
Employers can post job openings and search the resume database for experienced alumni of Michigan State University. Registration is required (FREE). See Employer Toolkit. Utilize these resources to find talented MSU alumni to match the skills and competencies needed for your job assignments. The resources assembled here are intended to help MSU alumni prepare for their career endeavors and to help employers find the right applicants for their job openings.
