Zeke The Wonder Dog!

Zeke has joined the MSU Alumni Association!

Tradition doesn't happen overnight. It takes time to becomes a Spartan tradition. Unique to MSU is the halftime football entertainment provided by "Zeke the Wonder Dog", a canine who has awed generations of MSU fans with amazing athletic moves catching Frisbees.

Thanks to generous sponsorship by the MSU Alumni Association, Zeke will continue to enthrall Spartan Stadium crowds at halftimes. And, you can book Zeke for your event!

Zeke's owner, Terri Foley (MSW '86) and husband Jim Foley, trainer and handler of the current Zeke (Zeke III), are delighted to be working with the MSU Alumni Association to keep the tradition alive.

Zeke III - also known as "BooCoo" - is a yellow Labrador, just like the original Zeke. The Foleys selected Zeke after reviewing nearly 600 dogs. "He has all the right ingredients," says Jim. "He has the athleticism, the smarts, he came from a great breed line, and basically has no flaws. He is the perfect Spartan!" The latest Zeke looks like an identical clone of the original.

Having Zeke perform involves a tremendous investment of time, which the Foleys volunteer, as well as expenses, including transportation costs. The MSU Alumni Association is pleased to support Zeke, preserving a wonderful MSU tradition.
